If you’re serious about skating, you know that it’s not just a winter sport. At The Edge Sports Center, we offer skating lessons year-round so young athletes can continue to train and hone their skills, no matter the time of year. We offer several opportunities for your skaters to take lessons. There are group lessons, lessons taught by Learn to Skate USA, and ice rental slots for private lessons. Our summer session is still open for registration, so it’s not too late to sign up for lessons in the 2023-2024 season.

Group Lessons
Group lessons are a great way to get young skaters more comfortable on the ice. At our lessons, kids as young as 5 years old can participate as long as they have some skating experience. To encourage independence and help kids focus on their lessons, we don’t allow parents on the ice during lessons. But don’t worry, your kids are in good hands! Our coaches are professional and experienced. They know how to make young skaters feel comfortable on the ice while also challenging them and improving their skills.
Summer Figure Skating Camp
Our figure skating camp is a great way to keep busy over the summer and give kids a taste of what it’s like to be a competitive figure skater. The instructors focus on mastering the basics while teaching physical and mental discipline. By the end of the week, camp participants will have a strong grasp of figure skating basics. They’ll also have a better understanding of what it’s like to dedicate themselves to becoming a serious and competitive figure skater.
Private Ice Rental
We also have private ice rental slots available at The Edge Sports Center. Ice rentals aren’t just for birthday parties! If your aspiring professional skater has a coach or the opportunity to take private lessons, renting ice rink time is an easy way to keep your lessons local. We’ve all heard stories from professional skaters who had to travel for hours every week to attend lessons. While we admire their dedication, why not train locally if you can?
